development resources
 Limitation of the energy sources.
Biogas Energy From Cow Manure in Ngaringan

Regency.
 Top-down policy bottom-up
policy.
 Target Actor
Next…

Supporting and Inhibiting Factors

Supporting Factors Inhibiting Factors

- easy and simple technology - not all biogas users have technical skills
- richness of energy resource (cow so that additional personnel are needed.
manure). - biogas machines are relatively expensive
- some union members have technical for individual scope (5-7 millions rupiah
skills necessary for resolving problems per unit according to the size).
related to biogas management.
- positive response of the local people.
- assistance and support from local
government.
- free equipments and biogas stoves from
local government.

should they are damaged or leaked.
The Comparison Between Biogas and
Other Fuels

Fuels Price Endurance

Fossil Oil 7000 / liter 3 days

LPG 13.500 / small 7 days

tube / 3 kg
Biogas 2 pails of cow 5 hours
manure
The Potency of Cow Manure as Biogas
for the Future Alternative Energy

 Biogas as alternative energy still unpopular

but it has a promising prospect for the future
development.
 Challenge to find raw materials (animal
manure) for non- agricultural regions.
Farmers as Manager

 The success story of Pangkalan Village was

determined by the role of farmers as
manager.
 Government just stimulated but the farmers
decided the success of the project.

successful to reduce people dependency on fossil energy. As
alternative energy that made from unused product, it is very
useful. They can get energy without spending money.

initiative from the beginning. Beside that, there is a big support
from local and central government that makes participation
from the local people become stronger.
Recommendations…

solution for the problems in the project implementation.
 Give more courses and training for technical skill to the users.
 Expanses biogas technology to the other places.
