WHAT IS LED DOWNLIGHT

LED Downlights are light bulb alternatives for indoor or
outdoor lighting. These light fixtures shine LED light
from a hole in the ceiling. These lights are popular
because they use less energy, produce less heat, and
emit more light than fluorescent and incandescent light
bulbs.
Technical Specifications
An LED Downlight can be identified almost immediately due to a
range of distinctive characteristics. These include:

1. Inside Cavity : Most downlights are installed directly into the ceiling so that the light housing
barely protrudes from the surface.

2. Different Colors : Unlike incandescent bulbs, LEDs come in a variety of different colors.

3. No Heat : LEDs give off very little heat compared to other bulbs such as a halogen lamp.

1. No Mercury : Increasingly popular compact fluorescent bulbs actually contain a small amount

environment. LEDs do not contain this material.

2. More Room : One of the biggest advantages to using an LED downlight is that it removes the

by plaster, insulation, and other combustible materials found in ceilings.

means less time opening up ceiling fittings and having to replace them.
