The achievements that your closely-knit staff has achieved are quite impressive.
Our collaborative relation would hopefully allow us to share information on the latest
advances in online auctioning for marketing segmentation purposes.
As a graduate student at the Institute of Biotechnology at Yuanpei University of Science and Technology (YUST) in Hsinchu, Taiwan, I am
currently involved in a project on Chinese herbal medicine extracts. The project is a joint collaboration between our research institute and
the Institute of Nuclear Science at National Tsing Hua University, and focuses on generating data regarding Chinese herbal medicine
extracts. Our important work includes publishing a bimonthly magazine that describes the extraction and dissemination of Chinese herbal
medicine compounds for commercialization. The experimental results generated in this project have already greatly helped efforts to
identify Chinese herbal medicine compounds.
The potential integration of digital image processing, biochemistry and medical technology could contribute to Taiwans rapid economic
growth, fuelled by the development of many innovative technologies. Chinese and Taiwanese have extensively used Chinese herbal
medicine for centuries. Given advances in laboratory facilities, instrumentation and available technologies, educational institutions in
Taiwan now employ highly qualified technical personnel to conduct advanced research on Chinese herbal medicine-related topics.
Many such projects currently focus on the feasibility of integrating digital image processing with biochemical assessment, molecular
biology technologies and the extraction of Chinese herbal medicine from natural substances. We recognize that ensuring the continued
success of our efforts in Taiwan depends on the open sharing and exchange of experiences with other similar organizations. Please find
enclosed an introductory brochure about the Institute of Biotechnology at YUST, which will provide further details on our mission, methods
and current research.
I look forward to hearing your ideas or suggestions regarding this information exchange opportunity. I would also like to arrange for a 15day technical visit to your organization this upcoming January, as the first step of our cooperation. If at all possible, please notify me as to
which dates are most convenient for you. A tentative visiting schedule would also be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your careful
consideration.
As a pioneering department in this field in Southern Vietnam, we have strived to create as many training courses as
possible in order to standardize clinical knowledge and improve the physicians role in First Aid. We constantly update
and apply the latest techniques and concepts to provide our emergency patients with the most effective treatment.
Your research findings published online and in many reputed journals have long provided a valuable and reliable
reference in our efforts to continuously upgrade our practice and establish our own training courses, especially in the
trauma field, given the similarity in the incidence and characteristics of trauma in Vietnam and that in your country.
We would like to exchange research results on the feasibility of adopting novel diagnostic and interventional methods
such as applied ultrasound in guiding resuscitation, less invasive cardiac output monitoring. We also hope to
collaborate with your hospital in exploring new trends in using resuscitating fluids in emergency care. Upon building the
protocols for pre-hospital trauma approach, we desire a mutual exchange of our knowledge expertise and skills.
I look forward to your thoughts regarding the possibility of such collaboration. We believe such an exchange would
allow us to acquire new perspectives towards emergency care and to establish a student exchange program between
our two hospitals in the near future. Please let me know your thoughts on the above exchange at your earliest
convenience.
