1) Impoverished style [1,1].

6

This is a lazy approach of management style.

Managers do not show any kind of concern to their

employees neither to the production.

Managers avoids to get into trouble and their main
concern is not to be held responsible for any
mistakes.
As a result of this approach, there will be
disorganization, dissatisfaction, & disharmony due to
lack of effective management.

2) Country club style [1,9]

7

This is one side approach. There is more attention to

the employee needs than to focus on the production.

Managers have high concern to the employee and
lower concern to the production.
They pay attention to their security & comfort of the
employee hoping to increase performance. As result,
friendly atmosphere created but not necesscerily
very productive.

3) Authority-compliance style [9,1]

8

This is the opposite of the previous style. Here

production gets a lot of attention & usually managers

use autocratic leadership style.
High concern for production and less to employee
concern in which the manager thinks that employees
needs are unimportant.
Pressures employees though rules and punishment,
and so high output produced, high labor turnover.
