What kind of stories are written about people
in my assigned group? positive or negative?
African American man wrote a story about how white males think they are
the new minority. In many liberal newspapers, stories slashing white males
are written by white males also

Are there any unfavorable stereotypes about

your group that are reinforced?
Most Congressmen are white males, so it does make sense that most stories
involving corruption scandals, having to do with this group

from the perspective of a
white male, which tends
to lead to inaccurate
representation.

How can this be prevented?

Reporters need to be of many different ethnicities in
order to show equality
White male reporters need to learn how to write about
non-white communities naturally and comfortably
Once racial prejudice is lessened and there is more
racial equality, these stereotypes will not be so
prominent
