higher savings.

Provisions of tax incentives in respect of investments in specified channels.

Increase in tendency of people to hedge against inflation.

The secondary market in India, where outstanding securities are traded,

consists of the stock exchanges which are self-regulatory bodies.

Need for Study

To protect the interest of the Investors.

To promote and develop the securities market in India.

To regulate the securities market and the matters

concerned with it.

To prevent trading malpractices.

To facilitate the efficient mobilization and allocation of

resources throughout the securities market.

To maintain transparency and to provide information

to investors.

Statement of the Problem

PERCEPTION

OF INVESTORS IN INTIAL PUBLIC OFFERS AND ITS

FUTURE.

The investors want to invest in the initial public offering with the aim of
high return. They want their capital to grow with minimum risk. That's why
they are not showing more interest to invest in capital market. Sometimes
people don't know much about the market and they invest and suffer
losses, which prevents them for further investments. The problem is that
citizens are not very much familiar with the term, conditions and process
of IPOs. For some citizens capital markets it still a casino where there is
more profitability of losing the money by a native player.
