Introduction.

Akij Group was established by Mr. Sheikh Akij Uddin


in 1950 and now it is one of the biggest companies
in Bangladesh
Akij BIRI Factory Ltd is the first company of Akij
Group and which produce Hand Made Cigarettes.
Now the group has various type of company.
This group created job opportunities for more than
32,000 in various categories.
The Human Resource department is badly
responsible for developing and sustaining a
workforce for Akij Corporation Ltd. There is separate
HRD wing for ACL for running day to day
administrative work of Marketing Department.

Mission, Vision & Objective Of Akij Group


By Using Human Resources.

Mission: To grow and increase value by


implementing new products and services to provide
high quality products to satisfy customers
requirements.
Vision: To provide the high quality products for the
customers.
Goal:To achieve market leadership, profitability, good
corporate citizenship and a sustainable growth.
Objectives:The main objective of the company is to
increase the market share in related diversified
products in Bangladesh and to assure the potential
customers of the quality and durability of the
products.

Formulating and upgrading HR


policy in Akij group of Industry.

Responsible for HR Planning,


forecasting,
succession planning,
Talent acquisition and day-to-day HR & Administration operation.
Assessing TNA (Training Need Analysis) and Arranging various
training programs for Development of the employees concerns;
Preparing job description for various positions in association with
departmental chiefs;
Succession Planning;
Conducting Performance appraisal program periodical basis in
collaboration with departmental heads ;
reward management;
many other day-to-day administrative jobs.

Duties/Responsibilities

Formulating and implementing day to day HR & administrative policies.


Issues of three factories (Located at DEPZ, Ashulia and Jessore) and
head office.
Maintaining liaison with related goverment/non-government offices.
Attending monthly meeting of DEPZ, making liaison with DEPZ senior
officials,
Conducting and controlling non-management staff;
Maintaining the employees' personal files,
Keeping soft & manual leave records and electronics data of the
employees;
Maintaining cleanliness and security system of Head office and
concerned factories;
Maintaining liaison with locals, law enforcing agencies,

Acquisition: This is the process by which Akij group circulates for


human resources, gathers personal & educational
information's( Bio-data) of the candidate, selects the best and
recruits them into the organization.
Development: Another task for HR Manager of Akij group to
develop the skill of the employees by training according to the job.
Motivation: The HR department of Akij group gives some facilities to
their employees such as bonus, reward, medical facilities,
consultative service, promotion etc.
Maintenance: HR Department of this company takes some new
steps so that it can maintain the motivation of the employees.

Conclusion.

That days Akij Group of Company is a renowned organization in our


country. It is one of the biggest organization in Bangladesh. Though
the organization used so many resources to achieve its objective
but Human Resources have a magnificent role for the success. The
company has a Human Resource Department who always takes
different types of steps to satisfy human resources and operate
them perfectly.
