Local Maintenance Terminal (MML Client)

The local maintenance terminal is an item of the LMT software.
The local maintenance terminal adopts the GUI and the MML (Man

Machine Language) to operate and maintain the system.

Note: Data configuration is realized by the MML commands.

Application scenarios of MML

Deployment

During the deployment, engineers should configure HUAWEI BSC6000 data

configuration script according to the reference script and run the script by MML
commands in batches.

Modify data in batches

When the RNP or RNO engineers need to modify mass incumbent BSC6000
configuration data, they can modify BSC6000 configuration data through running
MML command script in batches.

Modify a few configuration data

When a few configuration data need to be modified, every single MML command
can be run to execute the function.

Running MML commands in Batches

Running MML commands in batches refers to running multiple MML commands

at a time. The pre-edited batch file is run on the Local Maintenance Terminal so
that you do not need to manually run every MML
command.
The batch file is a plain text file. It contains a group of command scripts for a

special task. The system automatically runs the commands in sequence.

You can run MML commands in batches through two methods: immediate batch

command and timing batch command.

Immediate batch command refers to running the batch file immediately.

Timing batch command: The operator set in advance the date and time when the
batch file is run. The system automatically run the batch file on the date and at the
time.

Value range: TS0~0, TS1~1, TS2~2, TS3~3, TS4~4, TS5~5, , TS29~29, TS30~30,

Step 6 Configure BSC Links

Add Ater Signaling Link

ADD ATERSL: < ATERPIDX >< TSNO >< TNMODE >< CGST >< CGET ><
WS >

The Ater signaling link can be configured only when the GTCS subrack is
configured in the remote subrack.

Before configuring the signaling link, you must configure the Ater connection path
first.

For the single GEIUT/GOIUT board in the BM subrack, the time slots used for Ater
signaling link cannot be more than eight.

The CongestionStart of the Ater signaling link must be higher or equal to the
CongestionEnd.

ADD ATERSL: < ATERPIDX >< TSNO >< TNMODE >< CGST >< CGET ><

ATERPIDX: Ater Connection Path Index, value range: 0~254

TSNO: Timeslot No., value range: 1~31

This parameter indicates the number of the E1/T1 timeslot that is seized by the
configured Ater signaling link.

TNMODE: Transmission Mode,

The Ater signaling link has two transmission modes: terrestrial transmission and satellite
transmission. Satellite transmission is generally used in the areas that are inconvenient
for terrestrial transmission, such as deserts or lakes.

start threshold of flow control.

Value range: 30~100

Recommended value: 90

CGET: Congestion End Threshold,

This parameter indicates the end threshold of congestion, which is also referred to as end

Step 6 Configure BSC Links

Add A Interface E1/T1

ADD AE1T1: < SRN >< SN >< PN >< STCIC >< DPCGIDX >< ALLTSTYPE >

Before running the command, you need to configure the GEIUA or GOIUA board.

You can configure at most 512 E1s/T1s of A interface.

The CICs of the E1/T1 time slot of two A interfaces with the same original signaling
point and the same DPC number must be different from each other. Running the
command in the actual configuration often fails because of violating this rule. In this
case, you need to adjust the STCIC parameter to ensure it will not conflict with the
CIC of the E1/T1 time slot of other A interface.

Step 6 Configure BSC Links

Add A Interface E1/T1

STCIC: Start CIC, value range: 0~65535

This parameter indicates the number of the start CIC. If you run the ADD AE1T1
command, the CIC of each timeslot is automatically calculated based on this parameter. If
the start CIC is set to 100, the CICs of the timeslots on the E1 links over the A interface
are automatically set to 100, 101, 102, 103, and so on. If the CIC of a timeslot equals
65535, the CICs of the following timeslots are set to 65535.

DPCGIDX: DPC Group Index, value range: 0~31

Step 6 Configure BSC Links

Add A Interface E1/T1

ALLTSTYPE: Timeslot Type,

Value range: ALLCIC, ALLNULL

This parameter indicates the timeslot type. ALLCIC indicates the types of all the timeslots
on the E1/T1 links over the A interface are CIC. ALLNULL indicates the types of all the
timeslots on the E1/T1 links over the A interface are NULL.

Recommended value: ALLCIC

Example: ( Refer to Table 7 )

belongs.
If the selected DSP is indirect, you must select an STP.
Whether the rate type of the connection path is the same with that of the BM
subrack (so is the BM subrack connection path rate connecting the same OSP).
Each pair of signaling points (each link set) can be configured with at most 16 links.

The sub-type of the clock source is determined by the type of the clock source. If
the clock source is BITS clock, its sub-type is 2MHz or 2Mbit/s; If the clock source
is line clock, its sub-type is 8KHz only.
If the clock type is line clock, then you must ensure subrack 0 has been configured
