2 Corinthians 7:10 Godly sorrow brings

repentance that leads to salvation and


leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings
death.

Hebrews 6:6 and who have fallen away, to


be brought back to repentance. To their loss
they are crucifying the Son of God all over
again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

Acts 19:2 "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when[a] you believed".
They answered, No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy
Spirit. So Paul asked, Then what baptism did you receive?
Johns baptism, they replied.
Paul said, Johns baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told
the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in
Jesus.
On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord
Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit
came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
There were about twelve men in all.

The Baptism of Jesus Christ


Eternal Father, who at the baptism of Jesus revealed him to be your Son,
anointing him with the Holy Spirit: grant to us, who are born again by water
and the Spirit, that we may be faithful to our calling as your adopted children;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you in
the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Acts 8:14-17
When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of
God, they sent Peter and John to them. When they arrived, they prayed for
them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit had not
yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of
the Lord Jesus. Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they
received the Holy Spirit.
When you have repented first into John's Baptism which is by water then The
Baptism of Jesus Christ which is believing on him pray for the Holy Spirit to
come on you.

True Repentance
Hosea 14:1 [ Repentance to Bring Blessing ] Return, Israel, to the
Lord your God. Your sins have been your downfall!
Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of
Israel, says: In repentance and rest is your salvation, in
quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none
of it.
Matthew 3:8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to
repentance.
Acts 20:21 I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they
must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord
Jesus.

Lord of all time and eternity, you opened the heavens and
revealed yourself as Father in the baptism of Jesus your
beloved Son: by the power of your Spirit complete the heavenly
work of our rebirth through the waters of the new creation;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
