ABSTRACT

BROADBAND which is used to upload and to download more data .

cable modems and digital subscriber lines to increase their bandwidth..

There is a new type of service being developed that will take broad band into
the air which is called as AIRBORNE INTERNET.

Its function much like satellite based internet access without any time delay.

INTRODUCTION

private, secure and reliable peer-to-peer air craft communication

network..

connect aircraft to a ground-based internet access node, including

the information which passed across the communication link.

About weather , surrounding airspace environment and for aircraftto-aircraft communications,

WORKING

The word on just about every internet users lips these days is
broadband.

Airborne internet uses a network called high altitude long

operation(HALO).

Halo work as wireless network with star topology.

(ISP) internet service provider send the data through a gateway to the
hub in the air craft.

How AI work

All divide the area into different cells.

Each spot serves a single cell on the ground in a frequency-division

multiplex fashion with 5-to-1

ground-biased components to any type of airborne internet
network.
The consumers will have to install an antenna on their home or
business in order to receive signals from the network hub
overhead.

AIRBORNE SYSTEM REQUIRES AN

ANTENNA TO BE ATTACHED TO SIDE
OF HOUSE/WORKPLACE

ADVANTAGES

Adaption to end user environments.

Enhanced user connectivity globally.

Secure and reliable information transactions.

Bandwidth on demand provides efficient use of available

spectrum.

It helps to achieve a boarder bandwidth.

It has the potential to provide cost savings for aircrafts

operators.

DISADVANTAGES

Broadband internet covers limited area.

Unreliable- when operating at the distance from base station the

signal drops.

Limited number of broadband subscribers.

Bandwidth is limited

High cost

CONCLUSION

field of aviatin services like aircraft monitoring, air

traffic
management, weather information etc..

It also provides an opportunity for the passengers to

access the internet at very high altitudes that is in
aeroplanes and in other conventional services..
