THES2016 Updates

Education is core to our economy. But, in order to guide our educational systems and maximize
future income, we must understand the misalignment between education and our workforce. You
can find out more about this in a workshop conducted by Harry Hwa on Day 3 of THES2016.
Harry will speak about the changing workplace, and the skills that students need to succeed in this
environment. He will share examples of how Artificial Intelligence is being used today by Google
for certain jobs, with the implication that students today need to be educated differently for roles
where human ingenuity and creativity cannot be mimicked by machines. Harry will speak to the
traits that Google looks for when hiring new employees, characteristics that we can do more to
train and instill in learners for this new work of work.
