INTRODUCTION
According to Aristotle ,social creature is zoon politicon which means
human being predetermined to live in a society and interact with
each other.
As social beings ,humans need other humans to survive and are
required to work together.
In the process of interaction between people is created
communications.
The Model Communication used by Aristotle is basically the most
classical communication model , this model is called model of
rhetorical ( Rhetorical model)

HISTORY OF RETHORIC
Science of rhetoric was originally developed in Greece,
relating to the science of the Arts Speaking ( Techne
Rhetorike)
Aristotle was the first to contributes to communication
public ,especially rhetoric.
Theory of rhetoric centered on thinking about rhetoric
mentioned by Aristotle as a tool persuasion.

DEFINITION OF RETHORIC
The ability of the speaker to influence the audience .The
starting point is to talk rhetoric that became one of the
special abilities in humans .

Public Speaking
Public Speaking : Spread of information from one person to
many people or a wide audience.
There are three main objective of
public speaking :
1. To give the information
2. To Entertain
3. To Persuade

discourse.

Syllogism : a group of propositions relate to each other
and draw a conclusion from the premises of major and
minor.
Enthymeme : syllogism based on probability,signs,and
examples,which serves as a rhetorical persuasion.

Konrad Lorenz once said ," What was said by no means
was also heard, what is heard by no means well
understood , what is understood by no means was also
approved,what is approved by no means justified, what
is acceptable does not mean also lived,and what is
internalized does not mean also to change behavior

TYPES OF RHETORIC
Forensic rhetoric : a state when the speaker encouraged
the emergence of guilt or innocence . (in the court)
Epideiktik rhetoric : a discourse that relates to praise or
blame . ( ceremonial speech ).
Deliberative rhetoric : while the speaker must specify an
action to be taken , something that should or should not
be done . ( Political speech )
