• In 1989,HCL America was born but the project fell flat on

its face.

• In 1991,finally it entered into America as HCL HP LTD

• in 1994, HCL looked beyond PCs and tied
up with Nokia cellphones and Ericsson
switches for distribution

• Started a BPO in Ireland in partnership with
British Telecom.
• Came out a venture with NEC,Japan in
2005
