A Brief History of Egypt

Egypt is one of the cradles of civilization. The ancient Greek historian Herodotus wrote
that Egypt is the gift of the Nile, meaning that it flourished on the top soil that was
formed from silt brought by the recurrent floods of the Nile. The country was founded
and developed around river Nile, for there is no rain in Egypt.
2600 BC - 3d - 6th dynasty. This was the period of great pyramid building,
beginning with the Pharaoh Djoser, who built the step pyramid. The pyramid tombs
rapidly evolved into much more sophisticated structures built by Senefru Khufu
(Cheops), Menkaure and others and visible today at Giza and elsewhere.
Ramses II ruled from 1279 to 1212 BC and is known for his prodigious building
projects, which raised temples, statues and other monuments throughout Egypt. He
fought the battle of Qadesh (Kadesh) with the Hittites about 1275 and signed the first
Peace Treaty to be recorded in history with the Hittites, in 1259. He is thought to be
the Pharoah of the biblical Exodus story who built cities such as pi-Ramses as
recorded in the Old Testament, using a conscripted labor system. Among other sites,
Ramses II built the magnificent temple at Abu Simbel, near Aswan.
Between 639 and 642, Egypt was conquered by the Arabs under 'Amr ibn-al-Asi in
the reign of the Caliph Umar. The last Arab dynasty to rule Egypt were the Ayoubids,
founded by the great Salah Eddin (Saladin) about 1171. Salah Eddin is famous for
driving the crusaders out of Palestine, concluding treaties with them that were
eventually broken. He and his successors fought against the crusaders until their
expulsion.
The Ottoman Turks conquered Egypt in 1517, and inaugurated a long but mostly
undistinguished period in Egyptian history.

Pyramids

Khufu's pyramid at Giza showing the plan of passages and burial chamber.

It is believed that the pyramid at Giza was built by slaves; but this is not true. One hundred thousand people worked on it for three months of each year. This was the time of the Nile's annual flood which made it impossible to farm the
land and most of the population was unemployed. The farm workers of nearby village were employed in the work. Khufu, also known as Cheops, because he provided good food and clothing for his workers; he was kindly remembered in
folk tales for many centuries.
This structure has been a mystery and an enigma to mankind for ages. Some believe that the Great Pyramid monument was a time capsule left by an advanced civilization for the future generation.
The Bible does not mention the Great Pyramid of Egypt although it did exist long before Israel (Jacob)came into Egypt; and it was there when Joseph and Mary brought the Messiah into Egypt afraid of Herods threat.(Matt. 2:13).

The "pyramid is so geographically set in the center of the earth, till there's never
a shadow around it, no matter where the sun is" (William Branham,).

What is unique about the Great Pyramid of Giza?

The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only one of the existing Seven Wonders of the
Ancient World; it has survived the ravages of time. It is one of the oldest and the
best built structures on the face of the earth.
This pyramid is an architectural feat; its mortar joints are consistently 1/50 of
an inch, which is an incredible craftsmanship.
Over two million stones have been used to construct the Pyramid. No stone is
weighing less than a ton; most weighing about two and a half, and some as
much as 20 tons.
The Great Pyramid is a solid masonry, covering over 13 acres.
For forty-one centuries it has kept silent watch over the Nile Delta.
When Moses was the Prince of Egypt and the Israelites were slaves, the
Pyramids were already there; even Jacob would have gazed at the Pyramids,
when Joseph was the Chief official of Egypt.
Each succeeding generation has asked: Why was it built, and who was the
architect of this structure which holds the measurements of the universe?

The uniqueness about the Great Pyramid

One enters the Great Pyramid at the
Descending Passage which has an
elevation of 26 degrees 18' 9.7", the
elevation of the Pole Star, Alpha
Draconis, the chief star in the
Constellation of the Dragon or Great
Serpent at that latitude in 2170BC
around the time of the Flood. The Great
Pyramid represents the Earth that now
is. It is a perfect prophecy in stone so its
Passageways are aligned with heavens
which are now.
All who endeavor to unlock its mysteries by measurements based on Earth's
present relationship with the heavens cannot hope to obtain correct answers as
the pre-Flood year was one of only 360 days. The knowledge displayed in the
Great Pyramid is too advanced for humans of this time. Thus, this means that
if the Egyptians built the Great Pyramid they had to get the design from some
source. Some believe that Elohim (God) designed and built the Great Pyramid
structure. The Bible shows that Elohim gave man designs for the structures He
wanted them to build. For example, Elohim gave Israel the specifications to
build the tabernacle (Ex. 25:40), Solomon's and Zerruabbel's Temple (I Chron.
28:18-19). Israel was not the first people that Elohim instructed to build
something. Noah was given instructions to build the ark (Gen. 6:13-16, 22).

Some Important Passages refer the Pyramid

Jeremiah 32:20, "God has set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and has made Himself a Name, as at this
day".
Joshua 22:26-27 "Let us now prepare to build us an ALTAR, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice: But that it may be a WITNESS between us, and you, and our
generations after us, that we might do the service of the Lord before Him . . ."
In Job 38:4-7, Earth is compared to a building. "Where were you when I laid the FOUNDATIONS of the Earth? Declare, if you have understanding. Who laid the MEASURES
thereof, if you knowest? or who stretched the LINE upon it? Whereupon are the FOUNDATIONS thereof fastened? or who laid the CORNER STONE thereof; When the
MORNING STARS sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?"
Many theories are advocated as to the purpose of the Great Pyramid; interestingly, some scholars say, Pyramid is the Bible in Stone.
The Great Pyramid has been called "the Bible in stone" because its passageways and chambers reveal geometrically, in line and symbol, the profound spiritual truths of
the plan of redemption. Silent geometry reveals a remarkable witness.

An Engineering Wonder

Some of the dimensions and their correlation to astronomical calculations

The base unit of measurement in the Pyramid's is 25.052 inches. The Pyramid's inch is 1.0025 of our
regular inch. Each side of its base is 365.2422 cubits, which is the exact number of days in a solar year.
Now 365.24 cubits occur five or six times somewhere within the pyramid that shows it was not a
coincidence.
The Pyramid's perimeter, the distance around the four sides of the base, correlates with the circumference
of the earth.
Multiplying the height of the Pyramid's 35th layer by 10 derives the distance of the earth from the sun.
The base unit of measurement used by the Pyramid designer is ten-millionth of the earth's polar radius.
Simply put it is one ten millionth the distance from the North Pole to equator.
The number of days in a century (100 years) is 36,524 days and corresponds to the total inches valued in
the Pyramid's perimeter.
The number Pi is the mathematical constant 3.1415, with the ratio of the diameter to the distance around
the circle, called the circumference. In the pyramid it is the ratio of the height to twice the length of the
base.

Isaiah 19:19-20 says,"In THAT DAY there will be an ALTAR to the LORD
in the MIDST of the land of Egypt, and a PILLAR at the BORDER thereof
to the Lord. And IT shall be a SIGN and a WITNESS to the Lord of hosts in
the land of Egypt: for they shall cry to the Lord because of the oppressors,
and He will send them a Savior, and a Great One and He shall deliver
them.
The verses Isaiah 19:19-20, in Hebrew are called Pyramid Text. In the
Hebrew language each individual letter has a numerical value. Thus
every word has the numerical value of the sum of the value of its
letters. If one adds up the numerical value of all the Hebrew characters
in the Great Pyramid text the value is 5449. This is the height in inches
of the Great Pyramid!

What
is
Pyramid?
What is Pyramid?

It is generally believed that Pyramids are the graves of the ancient Kings, to
keep their mummified mortal remains. The Greek word 'pyramis means
'wheat cake'. The word 'pyramis' was used to describe the ancient Egyptian
buildings because they reminded the Greeks of pointy-topped wheat cakes.
The pyramid had triangular sloping sides from four directions so that the
dead pharaoh could symbolically climb to the sky and live forever.
It is believed that the pyramid represent the rays of the sun.

The Great Pyramid was God's Absolute that would preserve a great wealth of
knowledge for the generations born after the Flood. For instance, the constant
pi, which more than a thousand years after the Flood the Egyptians did not
know. It reveals the shape of the earth, its size and distance from the sun and
that the Poles were flattened. None of the later pyramids reveal such perfection
of mathematical and architectural skills as The Great Pyramid.

The

Sphinx
The Great Sphinx is a massive human-headed lion that was carved
from a mound of natural rock. It is located in Giza where it guards
the front of Khafra's pyramid. Historians largely accept the function
of the Sphinx to have been that of a symbolic guardian.
It stands adjacent to the pyramid of the pharaoh Khafra, and most
archeologists believe that it is his face that is depicted on that of the
statue.
The statue is carved out of one monolithic piece of rock, and at 240
feet long, 20 feet wide, and 66 feet tall, it is considered to be the
biggest monument of its kind in the world.
Legends have been told for many years about the Great Sphinx. The
story reads that one day, a young prince fell asleep next to the Great
Sphinx. He had been hunting all day, and was very tired. He dreamt
that the Great Sphinx promised that he would become the ruler of
Upper and Lower Egypt if he clear away the sand covering its body
(the Great Sphinx was covered up in sand to its neck).

Red
Sea

What the Bible says?

And Moses stretched out his hand over the
sea. And Jehovah caused the sea to recede
by a strong east wind all that night, and
made the sea dry land, and the waters
were divided. And the sons of Israel went
into the midst of the sea upon the dry
ground. And the waters were a wall to
them on their right hand and on their left.
(Exodus 14:21-22)

Saint Catherine Monastery

The Monastery of the Transfiguration is also called St. Catherine's

Monastery after the early Christian martyr, St. Catherine.
Saint Catherine was born as Dorothea of Alexandria in 294 AD, she
was beheaded by Roman emperor Maximus for criticizing his pagan
worship.
Legend says Catherine's body miraculously vanished and was
transported by a band of angels to the top of Jebel Katerina, the
highest peak in the Sinai Peninsula.
Three centuries later, monks found her supposedly uncorrupt body
and brought it down to the Monastery .
After the Empress Helena, the next famous pilgrim to the Jebel
Musa and the monastery was the Prophet Mohammed.

Burning Bush Moses Saw

St. Catherine Monastery is traditionally called
the Chapel of the Burning Bush, it was
constructed at the exact site where grew a rare
specimen of Rubus sanctus, the still-living shrub;
it is believed that it is the original Burning Bush.
Jehovah's appearance to Moses, "in the flame of
fire in the bush." (Exo. 3:2-4; Exo. 33:16). It
was probably the acacia, a small variety of the
shittim tree, found in the Sinai region.
