School Paper Advisers or S-P-As for Visayas and Mindanao Cluster update legal
responsibilities on campus journalism. Attorney Jemirose Loot of DepEd Legal Affairs provided
scenarios in committing plagiarism that every S-P-A should be aware of.

Attorney Loot also cautioned the advisers on the legal case they may face on plagiarized
write ups of their minor student writers.
This was emphasized by Loot before the S-P-As who attended the National Training of

Senior Inspector Renfredo Dacalos, Digos City deputy police chief, said Michael Semilla
I, 40, a resident of Barangay Ceboley, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, was on his way to an
internet caf at about 1 a.m. when shot dead.
Semilla, the drummer for a local band, died from a single shot to the head, Dacalos
said.
He said the killer might have tailed Semilla after his gig at a local bar.
The suspect could have patterned his routine during and after his band
performances, Dacalos said.
Dacalos said investigators were looking into love triangle as the possible motive for
the killing since Semilla had no known police record.
He said police investigators got information the victim was recently engaged in a
verbal tussle with a still unidentified man over a woman.
As of now nobody is talking, but in due time we hope to solve this case, Dacalos

Isa sa mga kustomer sa nasabing beach resort na si Archie Bautista ang nagbigay ng tinapay
na kulay kayumanggi kung saan kinain naman ng mga biktimang kawani ng resort.
Gayon pa man, ilang minuto ang nakalipas ay nagsimulang sumama ang pakiramdam ng mga
biktima na nahilo, nagsuka, sumakit ang ulo at tiyan kaya kaagad na isinugod sa nasabing ospital.
Sa inisyal na laboratory test sa nasabing tinapay ay nabatid na may halo itong sangkap na
shabu.
Nahaharap ngayon sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 ang kustomer na si Bautista na
nagbigay ng tinapay na may shabu sa mga biktima.

Manila Mayor Joseph Erap Estrada took over on Monday as the citys traffic czar after Vice Mayor Francisco Isko
Moreno Domagoso announced that he was giving up the post.
I dont want the post to be tainted by politics. I am doing this so that I will not be accused of taking advantage
of my position when I campaign should I run, Domagoso said, without confirming reports he would be running for
senator in next years elections.
Estrada, however, was not as coy. Hours after Domagoso announced his resignation as traffic czar, Estrada
confirmed the reports about his plans to run for higher office.
He will run for senator. I will support him all the way, Estrada said, praising his erstwhile running mate as his
good partner in governing the city.
Domagoso, who served as traffic czar for two years and three months, said he was able to make the traffic
situation in the city manageable and tolerable.
He also thanked Estrada for the opportunity, describing the post as the most difficult and challenging task he had
ever faced.
He expressed hope that his successor would implement what he started. Consistency and certainty of
enforcement of punishment are keys in effective traffic management, Domagoso said.
A member of Estradas Pwersa ng Masa political party, Domagoso is on his last term as vice mayor. He ranked
14th and 15th in the recent Social Weather Station survey of senatorial candidates for next years eoncillo
