How can you help?


Help run weekly activity sessions for human trafficking survivors. The
sessions are conducted to help provide therapeutic relief from the
traumatic experiences.
Conduct fundraising and awareness events to advocate for the
protection and care of trafficked survivors.
Donate resources for workshops, arts & craft sessions and festive
occasions.

How can you help?


Assist

in case management program for children affected by


detention by providing welfare support such as food, clothing,
bedding, and school materials.
Develop and implement mentorship programs for
unaccompanied and separated minors affected by detention.
Participate in our activities & events related to children affected
by detention.

How can you help?


Donate

school supplies - stationery, art and craft materials, storybooks,


and teaching aids.
Provide regular English training for Orang Asli teachers in their
respective villages.
Sponsor an indigenous teacher. It only costs RM40 to run a class of 25
students a day.
Conduct

faced by the indigenous community and their efforts in providing

12 Orang Asli children provided with pre-school education within their own communities to help

14 Therapeutic sessions conducted to help trafficked women and children. 80-100 women and 20-30

52 Immigration detention officers, protection shelter officers and community leaders trained to be
0 child sensitive and have the right tools to manage children under their care.
2 Water projects for the Orang Asli communities at our pre-schools in Gerik, Perak to overcome
challenges in accessing clean water due to pollution.
6 Orang Asli communities located in Slim River, Gopeng, Gerik and Gua Musang empowered to start
and run their own pre-schools.
1 Alternative to detention initiative implemented to protect children affected by detention.
13 Orang Asli teachers and assistants equipped with the abilities and resources to teach pre-school
education within his or her community.
11 Childrens rights workshops and camps to help a total of 170 children express their opinions to
key decision makers in the country.

EVENT BASED PROJECTS


Fundraising Events to Build Capacity and Resources
Welcome any volunteers who may not have the time to volunteer on a regular
basis but have the interest in organizing a fundraising event on SUKAs behalf.

Social Enterprise Projects to Build Capacity and Resources

Welcome volunteers who have entrepreneur skills who can help develop ways to
build our capacity through merchandizing or sale of items that would benefit the
work.

Public Awareness Campaigns


Public awareness through campaigns against human trafficking or action to end
children in detention.
SUKA will be more than happy to be invited to give talks on the issues at your
workplace, schools or college.

SUKA is currently supporting a total of 6


village pre-schools and 1 after school
program.
Each village school teaches 20 young
children regular lessons - read, write and
count.

HELP WITH PROJECT WISHLIST


Resources for Trafficked Victims
SUKA runs weekly workshops and arts & crafts sessions for the
trafficked victims.
Supplies for workshops,arts and crafts are appreciated.
During festive occasions, sponsors who are able to supply gift packs
and useful gifts to them are welcomed.

Resources for Case Management Program for Minors


SUKA runs case management program for unaccompanied and
separated minors affected by arrest and immigration detention.
Welfare support such as non-perishable food items, clothing, bedding,
and educational/school materials is much appreciated. SUKA makes
monthly home visits for each minor to follow up on their needs.

School supplies for the OA pre-schools


Orang Asli Pre-School project constantly require resources to
help support the OA teachers in their work.
To help reduce the cost of running the schools, sponsors who
are able to provide school supplies are very much needed.
SUKA makes monthly visits to meet with the OA teachers.
All the items donated for the project will be directly given to
the teachers during our visits.
