The university was established by a

group of people who was interested
enough to arrange some additional
means of education through which more
students can educate themselves. As
the number of students for higher
education is increasing more rapidly
than the number of institutions, such
thoughts were very appreciated by
everybody.

The Government of Bangladesh

approved the establishment of North
South University in 1992 under Private
University Act (PUA) 1992. The
university was formally inaugurated on
10th February 1993 by Begum Khaleda

NSU Business School achieved American accreditation

For the first time in Bangladesh, American

accreditation, has been granted to the
School of Business and Economics (SBE)
at North South University (NSU).
Accreditation is a certification of quality
and ensures particular assessment in a
variety of areas. American accreditation is
further distinctive as it is voluntary and
utilizes a peer review process. The review
focuses on six standards: leadership,
strategic planning, student and other
stakeholders, assessment, faculty
members and staff, and educational and
business management process. The SBE
was reviewed by faculty members from
accredited business schools in the USA,
and across the world.

 Facilities
The facilities offered by universities are fairly similar to one another. All will have
a library, a sports centre, a health service, a careers service and so on. North
South University as well as will provided better facilities to attract students to
enter the university. Enhancement will always take place year by year.

NSU students have excelled in co-curricular and extra

Recent incidents decrease the reputation of NSU very
much.
It will take up to 2/3 years to regain the lost
reputation. Students will face criticism in internship as
well as job sector. But if we look at the success factor
of NSU then you have to consider the students who
are currently in the top position in numerous MNCs as
well as Microsoft, Google, also students are studying
in Harvard University. Some lots soul students are
decreasing the images through terrorist activities
although they were not regular students some of
them were dismissed several semesters back. But the
media is blaming university for their non-cooperative
