This presentation has been prepared by considering the
different aspects of developing and developed destinations.
Through continuous process of coordination and development
of amenities, different facilities, services and attractions the
developed countries and developing countries are attracting
different tourists. The differences in the approached of
development and also in features of developing and developed
destinations are showed through this presentation.

Tourist destinations cover all the attractions and the
offerings of tourism along with potentialities for the tourism
business and the growth of the tourism business. The
developed tourism destinations or the leading tourist
destination has their potentialities in offering proper tourism
products. In the other hand the developing tourism,
destinations have different limitations. (Cooper, 2016).

The developing destinations have to develop their potentialities for

attracting potential tourists and increase the contribution in the


employment and also increase the contribution in the GDP.
The developed destination has different abilities existing in the

gaining increased contribution in the GDP. (Cooper, 2016).


Government of the developing countries are taking different steps

in order to support and provide proper measures to the tourism


industry along with the subsidiary services for having efficient
amount of contributions in the nations economy.

The government of developed destination are focusing on the

further development aspects in the tourism of the destination. By


analysing the current trends and the impact of the tourists.
The developed destinations are improving their hospitality

services and engaging the stakeholders in order to have proper


fund over the improvement activities. (Cooper, 2016). Different
destinations like Sri Lanka, Brazils are considering the approaches
of sustainable tourism for their development action plan.

tourism development. Through preservation, conservation

cultural and historical offerings and attractions. UNESCO
has been significantly working in this respect.

marketing the tourism industry with taking efficient media


and marketing planning. Promoting the tourism is the
main purpose of the government. Different NGO and
national agencies as well other ownerships of the sites like

Differences
Considering France as the leading tourism destination and brazil as the

developing tourism destination the differences between the developed


and the developing tourism destinations can be assessed. (Cooper, 2016).
France has gained its place as the top tourist destination in the world

tourism ranking. In 2013 it has tourist arrivals over 84.7 million foreign
tourists. There are 37 sites which are considered as the UNESCOs world
heritage sites. In 2012 the France tourism has directly contributed
EUR77.7 billion directly in GDP which is 30 % of total GDP. (wttc.org,

France tourism has been dependent on the leisure tourism

rather than business or tourism with purpose. Different


attractions and developed services in the tourism offerings
are contributed in the increased number of tourists. The
leisure spending of France tourism has been directly
generating 80.2% of tourism GDP in 2014. The growth
has been expecting 2.8% in 2015. (wttc.org, 2015)

Brazil tourism
The tourism in brazil is the growing sector. In 2012 brazil

had arrivals of 5.7 million tourists. Direct contribution of


this destination has been BRL182.1bn in 2014 which is
3.5% of total GDP.
Tourism of this destination has been contributing 8.8% of

total employment by supporting 8,829,000 jobs directly.

It has been ranked as the 23rd for its cultural resources.

The safety and security was the main concern for the

tourists. Through taking development measures the


government of brazil has increased the ratio in 2012 gaining
73rd position which was 128th in 2008. (wttc.org, 2015)
Brazil has the competitive advantages over its natural

resources which are the main concern over development.

Conclusion
There are different features which vary from developing

countries and developed countries in their placement of


tourism product. The developing countries or destinations
are developing their tourism offerings in order to generate
more revenues and trying to increase tourists arrivals for
having proper contribution in GDP. Leading destinations
have enough tourist arrivals and which are being used as the
enhancement of the destination.
