What can you learn from the title of the
artwork?

From the title of the artwork we learned that it


will be a drawing of a rhinoceros.

What subjects in the artwork can you recognize?

There is a armored rhino in the artwork. It is


looking down which infers it has been in a fight
and is tired.

Looking at the elements of design, describe
what qualities you see.

The qualities of design I see are lines, value,


texture, shapes, and space.

The media the artist used was ink,


crosshatching, and hatching.

Yes, the rhino is the focal point of the piece.

There is a balance.

The mood is serious.

They are unusual because there are armor


plates on random part of his body.

Yes there are circles inside circles in every plate


to clarify what is armor.

All the patterns combined to make an armored


rhino. There is variety in scales on its legs, the
circles on his armor, and the accentuated lines.

There is symbolism in the artwork. It means


strength.
