BARRIER FREE ARCHITECTURE
Adobe is an energy efficient sustainable Office space. • Conceptualized with an approach to energy and
Aimed to be at par with global norms, the office campus sets out ecological conservation in the design of the built
to achieve new benchmarks for workspaces in the rapidly environment with a LEED platinum rating. Emphasis is
developing work culture in India. Within the design, there are laid on Recreational facilities –both outdoor and
provisions, avenues, methods and expressions to be incorporated indoor, that manifest in spaces such as the Multi-
artistically, aesthetically and in a refined manner to achieve a purpose Hall, Gymnasium, outdoor court for spaces,
healthy and vibrating work environment. Recreational spaces and a generous size Café.
Concept
Adobe is a Spanish word for sun dried clay bricks – a basic building
block and with the client background in Design, Media & other
Geometric software, a “Back to Basics” design philosophy was
adopted using terracotta as the primary material expressed in a
modern contemporary style using geometric designs &
compositions.

Building Entrance–
• Limited visitor access inside the building, they cannot access beyond reception
• No provision of ramp at main entrance
• Wheelchair persons enter from secondary entrance at the side through ramp

SINGLE FLOORING MATERIAL IN THE OFFICE INTERIORS, CARPET TILES ARE USED, HENCE NO AID FOR BLIND.
HOWEVER, FOR SEMI BLIND PEOPLE, THE COLOUR SCHEMES USED AT EACH FLOOR CORRESPOND WITH APPROPRIATE COMBINATIONS THAT CAN BE
DISTINGUISHED BY THEM, HENCE PROVIDING DIRECTIONS.
