 Generally in this modern world the usage of area on
the earth is much more and the place provided is very
less.
 Here is a project which deals with how to use such a
small place to park all their vehicles in a sequential
order and indicate the numbering system for the
parking.
 Actually here the concept is providing a slot for the
vehicle to park.

A light emitting diode(LED) is essentially a

PN junction upto semiconductor that emits a

monochromatic (single color) light when

operated in a forward biased direction.

LEDs convert electrical energy into light

energy.

The most important part of a light emitting

diode(LED) is the semi conductor chip located

in the center of the bulb

 A device or system that supplies electrical or other types
of energy to an output load is called a power supply
circuit.
 Here in our application we need a 5v DC power supply
for all electronics involved in the project.
 This requires step down transformer ,rectifier ,voltage
regulator and filter circuit for the generation of 5v DC
power
 The sensing element used in the infrared sensor is
a thermopile. Thermopile detectors are voltage-
generating devices.
 IR Sensor is used to detect objects and obstacles
infront of the sensor.
 Sensor keeps trasmitting infrared light and when
any object comes near,it is detected by the sensor
by monitoring the reflected light from the object.
 It is also capable of measuring heat of an object and
detecting motion.Infrared waves are not visible to the
human eye.
 Infrared radiation is the region having wavelengths
longer than visible light wavelengths, but shorter than
microwaves.
The Arduino Uno is a micrcontroller
board based on the ATMEGA 328P.
It has 14 digital input/output pins(of
which 6 can be used as PWM outputs),6
analog inputs , a 16MHz quartz crystal , a
USB connection ,a power jacket and a reset
button.
Simply connect it to a computer with a
USB cable or power it with a Ac to Dc
adapter or a battery to get started.
 when any vehicle comes near to the slot, it is detected by
the IR Sensor and transmits the infrared light by
monitoring the reflected light from the object.
 Red LED glows, when any vehicle enters into the slot.
 Green LED glows, when there is no vehicle available in
the slot.
 The proposed plan saves the time of visitors in searching
booking a parking slot.
 It helps the parking owner to monitor the vacant slot
availability so it can be used by the next person.
 Low cost
 Space saving
 Minor parking lot damage such as scrapes and dents are
eliminate.
APS are often used in locations where a multi
storage parking is too large, too costly or impractical.
Used in any shopping malls and multiplex
Can be used for industries, commercial offices and
educational institutes
In this model we use underground sensor which will be
costly in the practical, so we recommend using the
dimension sensor in the life.
Finally, we hope this project eliminates all the hassle of
wasting of time and fuel.
The scope of this project is to make the parking system
easier, faster, convenient and the most important parameter is
time saving. This type of project can be used in the malls,
corporate offices etc. and thus parking problems can be
avoided in India
