RATIONALE The researchers of this study would like to know the level of satisfaction of the citizens of the PNP on the effectiveness in preserving peace and order in the municipality of Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte for the year 2017-2018. This study would be used for the future field of the researchers. As future criminologists, one should know the demands of the society and their satisfaction level of the current administration of their field. With this, they could develop some implications for them to do a better job in the future. BENIFICIARIES Students

Is there a significant relationship between the level of satisfaction perceived by the citizen and the level of performance of the PNP? SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM HYPOTHESES Ho1: There is no significant relationship between the level of performance to the problems encountered of the PNP.

Descriptive Survey Research Design
STATISTICAL TREATMENT Frequency. This was used to determine the number of response on each item indicator. This answered the problems 1 through 3 of the study. Weighted Mean. This was used to determine the average response and its degree of the respondents on each item indicators. This answered the problems 1 through 3 of the study. Person Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. This was used to determine the relationship between the variables. This answered the problems 4 through 5 of the study. FINDINGS The highest mean of 3.64 interpreted as very high was posted in police-community relation. Next is the law enforcement with a mean of 2.50 interpreted as low. This is followed by a mean of 2.37 interpreted as low which is posted in crime prevention and detection/control. The lowest mean of 2.34 interpreted as low was posted in suspect identification and arrest. The results indicated that the problems encountered by the PNP were high with a mean of 2.71 (cf. Table 10) FINDINGS The highest mean of 1.78 interpreted as manifested is posted in suspect identification and arrest. This followed by the mean of 1.51 interpreted as highly manifested which is posted in law enforcement. Crime prevention and detection/control has a mean of 1.41 interpreted as highly manifested. Lastly, the lowest mean of 1.40 interpreted as highly manifested is posted in police-community relation. The overall mean of 1.52 is interpreted as highly manifested. The results indicated that the level of performance of the police officers is highly manifested (cf. Table 5). FINDINGS The results indicated that the citizens are satisfied with the implementation of the PNP with the overall mean of 1.78 (cf. Table 11).
There is a significant relationship between the level of
satisfaction perceived by the citizen to the level of performance of the PNP (cf. Table 13). CONCLUSIONS In essence, the police performance has no relations to their problems encountered. However, the performance level of the police is positively related to the satisfaction level of the police. Hence, role theory and system theory supported that the positive and negative police contact allow a better understanding of police contact’s role in determining citizen attitudes and satisfaction toward the police.
