 According on the study conducted by psychologists, Serge


Onyper and Pamela Thacher at St. Lawrence, There is a
correlation between class time and performance of the students.
 Base on the research of Anna Lukkarinen, Paula Koivukangas,
and Tomi Seppala, School schedules plays an important role in
today’s education.
 According to the researcher of University of São Paulo, class
schedule that starts at 6:30 until 8:00 am is very early for the
students.
 Class schedule affects the health of the students, According to
the Center4research.org, early class schedule can undermine
teenager’s ability to learn.
 Pursuant to Sleep Research Society, Adolescents need more than
9 hour of sleep, and for those who sleep less than 9 hours,
their brain will not function well. It affects the learning because
sleepy students finds it more difficult to concentrate in class
and their ability to remember what they heard. It may also lead
to many health problems like obesity, poor physical health, etc.
 Class schedule also affect the social and other aspect of
teenager’s life.
 Rachel D. Brooklyn stated that long school hours put much
pressure on students. Students have no enough time to do their
other activities like playing basketball hangout with their friends
and other social aspect.
 She also stated that shorter school days have positive changes. Both students, teachers and
administrators would benefit. They have more free time to their other activities.

 Students are not employees, teens should not be expected to perform the same amount of time as
adult. They need breaks from sitting at desk and in classroom.(Classroom.synonym.com)

 Four-day school weeks were designed to have educational benefits for students and

 According to HuffingtonPost.com, most of the public schools start classes earlier than 8:30 a.m. In
addition to that, the side effects of lack of sleep due to early class schedule is, stress, and
depression, and physical, mental exhaustion. It is also the reason why several students come late,
or skip classes to school.
 The number one advantage of the class schedule beginning late is the probability of attendance
will be high. Also the mind set of students sleeping late will be inverted.

 If the class schedule starts late. The attention of each students towards the lesson will be greater,
also the greater productivity, balanced time management of students will be assured.

 Base on a research conducted bartleby.com, starting class schedules late will make students less
drowsy, and also will improve their grades, performances in activities, and motivation better.

 In addition to that, the missed schedules of each students come late or skip classes, will be
lessen.
