Solid works

• 10 parts
Dice: • The main build of the dice involves making a square
and extruding it. 13x13x13
• Sketch on the circles giving them equal spacing.
• Add a fillet of 1mm to each edge.
• Extrude cut 1mm.
• Add desired appearance, traditionally black and
white.
Mug: • Sketch a circle, extrude to make cylinder.
• Shell inside of cylinder, leaving 4mm thickness.
• Fillet the opening of the mug.
• For the handle insert spline on the front plane, insert a plane
tangent to the cylinder, Sketch a circle in order to perform a
sweep.
• Add Desired appearance.
Bowl: • Sketch a circle on the top plane. Create
another plane above this plane, on this plane
sketch a larger circle.
• Loft selecting both circles.
• Shell to thickness 10mm.
• Add desired appearance.
Pizza Cutter:
• Make blade by sketching a circle and extruding it.
Put a chamfer on both edges.
• Sketch another circle at the centre point 2mm,
extrude it 2m.
• On this new surface sketch the outline of the
frame. Extrude it 4mm.
• On the top surface sketch a base for the handle,
extrude it.
• Sketch the handle in the middle of the top surface
and extrude it.
• Fillet edges.
• Add desired appearance.
Chess Pawn:
• Download a picture of a pawn.
• Insert the picture into solid works
using sketch picture.
• Copy the outline of the pawn using a
spline.
• Revolve Boss/Base.
• Add desired appearance. Turn down
the transparency of the picture.
USB Stick: • Sketch a rectangle, extrude it.
• Sketch and extrude again for the main body.
• Extrude cut the hollow of the mouth in the USB.
• Extrude cut to take out the top grooves.
• Using Annotate type USB on top of the USB stick. Extrude cut this.
• Sketch with a line and arc the outline of the paper
Paper Clip: clip. Add in all the correct measurements.
• On a perpendicular plane sketch in the circle.
Pierce the centre point of the circle to the sketch.
• Sweep boss base selecting both sketches.
• Add desired appearance.
Nut: • Sketch a hexagon. Make a line horizontal.
Sketch a circle on the same centre point. Extrude
hexagonal sketch leaving out the circle.
• Chamfer the two circles.
• Sketch new circle over the one previous. Perform
a Helix spiral which is clockwise and tapering.
• Sketch a triangle on a plane which is tangent to
the circle. Make one side of the triangle vertical.
• Cut sweep selecting the helix spiral and the
triangle.
• Sketch a circle the same radius as the hexagonal
polygon (Only at one side of the nut). Cut
extrude this at 60 degrees.
• Sketch a hexagonal polygon, make one line horizontal. Extrude this
10mm.

Bolt: • Using the same centre point Sketch a circle, extrude this 100mm.
• Sketch a circle again using the same centre point and the radius of the
hexagon. Use extrude cut at 60 degrees to round the corners of the
bolt.
• Sketch a circle at the end of the cylinder. Helix spiral from this circle.
• Sketch a triangle on a plane which is tangent to the circle. Make one
side of the triangle horizontal. Pierce the triangle to the helix spiral.
• Perform a sweep boss base using the sketch of the triangle and the
helix spiral.
• Fillet the ends of the tread.
• Fillet between the head of the bolt and the shaft.
• Apply desired appearance.
Audi Symbol • Download an image from the internet of an Audi logo.
• Use Sketch picture to bring this into solid works.
• Sketch circles over the Audi picture. only using the picture as
a scale but using suitable dimensions.
• Extrude boss base selecting only the areas which will make
the pattern on the Audi logo.
• Chamfer the outside of all the circles to an angle of
45degrees and dimension it 10mm.
• Add desired appearance. Preferably chrome.
