AMONG ACTIVE SURVIVORS OF LANAO DEL SUR Significance of the Study:
The researchers would like to assess the readiness of the
Marawi siege “active survivors” in cases of re-insurgence of man-made conflict in Lanao del Sur. This is to gauge further the state of personal, family, and community preparedness on man-made disaster based on selected disaster-risk reduction management criteria. Objectives:
1. Determine if the community have disaster preparedness plan in terms of man-made
conflict: ■ Existing plans ■ Conduct of trainings for the disaster ■ public awareness of the plan -- practice/drill done Objectives:
2. Availability of community have hazard information:
■ Timely warning ■ Where to access hazard maps ■ What agency provided disaster preparedness programs for the community ■ Availability of hazard trainings ■ Signs of impending hazards ■ Resources of the communities for valid information Objectives:
3. Availability of community disaster preparedness emergency
kits (i.e, contents of the kit) Objectives:
4. Availability of shelters to go to when disaster occurs
