Big Data

Healthcare has seen an

explosion of data coming
from electronic medical
records, smartphones
monitoring patients’ activity,
real-time alerting wearable
medical devices, research
data, leveraging genomics
data, and the digitization of
health records.
All these activities have led to a massive explosion of data,
much of which will be unstructured. As a result, organizations
will often find it extremely challenging to manage this
information and leverage it to benefit the business.
 Renowned analyst firm, IDC, has predicted that by the
year 2018, about 30% of the healthcare providers will
use cognitive analytics to better analyze the patient data.
Today, machine learning supports personalized care
through improved diagnostics and predictive &
prescriptive healthcare recommendations.
 Through the application of machine learning, data
mining, natural language processing (NLP), and
advanced analytics, artificial intelligence will assist
doctors in diagnosing diseases faster.
 The most obvious application of artificial intelligence in
healthcare is data management. Collecting it, storing it,
normalizing it, tracing its lineage – it is the first step in
revolutionizing the existing healthcare systems.
 In the broad sweep of AI’s current worldly ambitions,
machine learning healthcare applications seem to top the list
for funding and press in the last few years.
 One of the most efficient use-cases of artificial intelligence is
optimization of clinical process through intelligent matching.
Bodylogical

 Bodylogical is a predictive engine which processes patient

data to help give health insights into potential health trends
and problems in the future.

Using health data from wearables, connected health devices,
or other consumer data sources Bodylogical can visualize
how a person's present choices — both positive and negative
— will personally impact them. It can show people how to
achieve greater results with the least amount of effort.

 Personalized Medicine
Telemedicine
Transforming the who, what, and where of care delivery

TytoCare
TytoCare provides handheld device that patients can use
to self-examine their mouth, throat, eyes, heart, lungs,
skin, and temperature.
Niramai

NIRAMAI is building a non-

invasive, non-touch, non-
radiation approach to detect
breast cancer. It uses hardware
software technology solution,
called Thermalytix, uses
artificial intelligence over
thermal images to address the
issues of early detection of
breast cancer and removes
technological, logistical and
cultural barriers that hinder
breast cancer screening.
Cardiotrack

Cardiotrack, which provides

predictive diagnosis for
cardiovascular
diseases. Cardiotrack’s hand-
held IoT device, that is driven
by Artificial Intelligence
(AI), capture clinical grade
ECG data and ensure data
portability through smart
android-based devices.
Patient Assistance
Transitioning from a passive role to an active role in health

Ginger.io
Ginger.io connects people to
its care team of trained health
coaches, licensed therapists
and board-certified
psychiatrists. The company
uses its patented AI
technology to deliver a high-
quality experience, tailored to
the needs and goals of each
member.
