What have you learned in
your teacher training program
that will make you an
excellent candidate?
 lesson planning
 The ability to plan, instruct and assess
 Pre-planning lessons creates better classroom management, and
encourages motivational strategies using anticipatory sets and
technology.

 I have a few learning segments that prove my ability to plan, instruct and
assess

 One of the most important skills I have learned is the ability to integrate
technology into any lesson that is being taught. I have learned how to use
and create Smart Board presentations, QR code, Vokis, smore flyers,
weebly websites, screen-cast-o-matics, etc.
Lesson I have taught
 Learning segment for grade 4 Math on multiplication comparisons.
 Integration of technology into this lesson and based the lesson off
student’s assets and interests.

 This lesson was important because I used white boards to help the
engagement aspect of the lesson, and taught the lesson using
peer feedback.

 The students got to learn from their peers, and interact with them
in order to get a conceptual understanding.

 I have used manipulatives to help students count. At the end of

the learning segment, an assessment was administered. While
using the manipulatives, students’ were able to connect and gain a
visual representation while solving word problems using
multiplication comparisons.
How will your knowledge of the current trends in
education inform you as an educator in our
district/board/school?

 It is important to keep up with the current trend and

concepts in education and look at the pedagogical
approaches and trends being employed in a particular
district and knowing how to incorporate these elements into
my approach
 Keeping up with current knowledge is crucial when
becoming a teacher. Keeping up with research and
constantly learning something new will keep me informed as
becoming an educator. Technology is a big thing in our world
today so being able to integrate technology tools into
lessons in the classroom will benefit me because I will be
able to keep students interests and keep them motivated
and engaged.

 I am excellent at integrating technology into my lessons and learned

different tools such as smart board, ipads, and other apps that I can
bring into the classroom.

regarding education.

 My goal is to get every student to their highest potential and to create
