ISSP Objectives

• To have advanced technologies to aid researchers,

faculty, staff and students in and outside of the
University in their laboratory needs as well as their
administrative concerns

• To reach and maintain high standards of IT System in

all levels of the University in order to provide quality
service
Recommendations
1. Develop and propose a detailed ICT Policy
• To ensure ICT resources are placed in proper
offices

• To strategically plan IT-related procurement

• To guide users on the do’s and don’ts of the use of

university ICT resources

• To serve as primary basis in protecting the

valuable ICT assets of UPV
2. Improve the necessary ICT structure for UPV

• To increase the capacity and stability of the

existing ICT structure
3. Develop an online database connected to the
three campuses of UP Visayas in Iloilo City,
Miagao, and Tacloban

• To improve efficiency and effectiveness of

Two of the hindrances of an on going
strategic planning before it will be fully
implemented for a certain project are:
- the sources of funds
- personnel involvement.

In this project, we shall request for
fund support UP System. With this,
funds for the implementation for this
project can be secured from the UP
System as support for eUP campaign or
from UP Visayas funding as a
constituent unit. Other maintenance
and operating expenses for the project
may be shouldered by every individual
offices’ MOOE. These requests for
