• This section is predominantly a literature review section;

• Use good academic resources (focus more on research


articles ) to address this task;

• You can use the references given in the assignment brief to


explore research articles;

The literature section should focus on the below broad


themes:

1. Changing roles of HRM and factors influencing change;


2. Role of Human resource planning in managing talents;
3. Challenges of HRP

The literature review should exhibit the following:


1. Critical analysis;
2. Logical flow of information; and
3. Proper citation

TASKS: Analyse the recruitment approach …Provide/cite
examples from industries to enrich the discussion.
This section focuses on the analysis of the case

1. To begin with you can discuss the various recruitment trends


in today’s business (a short literature review), focusing more on
social media and social networks.
2. Case analysis:
Identify the recruitment issues in the given case;

Argue whether Mercado’s recruitment approach would benefit


them. You are supposed to evaluate the Mercado's recruitment
strategy based on its effectiveness;

You may want to provide arguments based on examples,


literature search.

case:

1. What do you think were the main drivers for the company to
develop its e-recruitment strategy?

2. Is e-recruitment appropriate for all types of vacancies in a


retail store?

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this


approach?

4. To what extent has this new strategy ‘improved capability to


become the best retail HR function and make Mercado a great

This section should reflect your understanding of the entire task:

You may want to write at least half-a- page of summary (this is


not conclusion) based on the first two tasks, that should clearly
show your understanding of the following areas:

-The changing role of HR in today’s business (based on task


one);
- The nature and changing role of HRP in managing talents
(Based on task one)
- The effect of environmental factors on the recruitment trends
(Based on task one and task two- case analysis)
