Background

Japek II Elevated Toll Road is the project improvement of


existing Japek Toll Road.
This project will be constructed with the type of flyover
construction. It choosen because the area around Jakarta-
Cikampek Toll Road does not have sufficient area, so it is
no longer possible to land acquisition.

Structure Excavation
Structure excavation work is excavation work done at the point
of pile cap plan, covering 8 bored pile foundation point. This
work is done when the bored pile concrete structure reaches
the age of 7 days.

In the pile cap job there are several sub-jobs, namely
dewatering work, binding stone work, LC (Lean Concrete)
making work, fabrication work, casting job, then curing job

DEWATERING

Dewatering work is done to move water from excavation to


other places, so as not to interfere with work, and structural
conditions.

BINDING STONE

The object of this work is the top bored pile structure, this work
will cut the concrete structure part on the bored pile with the
total dimensions = 3.5m and diameter = 1.2m so that it is found
1m tall from the base area.

LEAN CONCRETE (LC)

Lean Concrete work is done by spreading the concrete on the


base of excavation using Excavator. The Excavator Bucket will
accommodate the concrete from the Truck Mixer and then
spread it into the excavation. The worker used the equalization
using the hoe, to obtain lean concrete as thick as 10 cm

Occupation work is a job that is quite time consuming, because


in the installation only can be done by iron workers.
This work starts after lean concrete is done

CASTING

Founded in pile cap work, has Fc '30 Mpa concrete specification,


volume = 153,9 m3. In this work is done by using concrete pump
The steps of this work are as follows:

1. The reins are cleaned with water and assisted with the
compressor.
2. On the connecting reinforcement between the bored pile
with pile cap given a cyclone-like adhesive.
3. The foundry is done by concrete pump. Truck mixer
will pour ready mix concrete into concrete pump.
4. Concrete poured into the pile cap reinforcement,
assisted with a concrete vibrator. It is intended that the
concrete can enter into the cracks of pile cap
reinforcement.

CURING
Curing work is done for 7 days or more. But on the third day
after casting, formwork is released from the concrete. This work
is done by spraying water on the surface of concrete every 3
times a day.
PIER
High pier structure in Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll
Road Project is 10-13 m with 3 x 3.2 m square dimension. Detailed
pier structure is as follows :

BORED PILE TESTING
The testing work is done to ensure the strength of the field
structure in accordance with the planning. This work is done by
PT.Geotech subcontractor. In this work there are 3 types of
testing applied to the bored pile.
PDA (Pile Driving Analysis) Test

PDA
• It is a test on pile foundation work. The number of pile
foundations tested with a PDA test is generally 1% of the total
foundation point in a single project. The ideal hammer mass
for PDA test is 1% - 2% of the foundation capacity required to
achieve.
• The PDA Test is one type of dynamic testing using the wave
analysis method and is often referred to as a re-strike test in
accordance with the nature of the test that performs a re-
strike or re-examination of the foundation under test.

The ultimate condition is determined by either of the :
• The movement of the pile due to a certain load (ultimate load)
which means the excessive friction resistance and the tip of
the pole foundation.
• The ability of the pile material material itself to be exerted by
heavier load will result in the failure of the pole material.
PIT
Pile Integrity Test (PIT) is a non-destructive test with a wave
equation known as a shock load or a sonic reflection test, or a
low strain of dynamic test. The test uses one or two
accelerometers for the foundation pile, and uses a small
hammer to hit it. PIT displays a curve that reveals significant
changes in the cross section that may exist along the pole.
AXIAL TEST
Axial test is a test method which is done by giving vertical
loading. Such test can be done by some method, one of them is
load test method by using beam medium / cube with certain
size as load.

The purpose of this test is basically to prove that the security


level of a foundation structure or foundation structure has met
the regulatory requirements of the required foundation
structure, whose purpose is to bear the load from the structural
building above it, the determination of the pile to be tested is
determined by the planning consultant as part of the foundation
structure to meet the security level requirements of the
building.
PROBLEM OF PROJECT
The Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Toll Road project is
implemented in the median section of Jakarta-Cikampek Ex-Toll
Road, so the main problem is on location. The Toll Road can not
be accessed just like a regular highway. The toll road has its own
corridors, so to enter it must pass through the toll gate of each
corridor

Workspace that can be created in the existing Toll Road median
area is only ± 5 m. Workspace is obtained after doing widening
work on the outer side of the road. Widening is done on two
sides of the road, with an additional width of each path of 2.5
m.

Missed coordination will lead to errors in the implementation of
planning in the field, so it will be fatal. This happens when the
problem.
• Coordination of Occupational Health and Safety - Workers
Often found workers do not meet the safety equipment as set
by the OSH team. The dangers that occur will cause big and even
vital problems, because safety, health, and safety in work is a
priority in work. If breached this will cause harm to the
implementation of construction.
