Cabling

• The master shelf is the core control unit of the UA5000 . Being configured with
the slave and extended shelves, the UA5000 can converge service of multiple
shelves in an integrated way.
• The master shelf supports the load-sharing and mutual assistance of two
secondary power supply boards (PWXs). The two narrowband and the two
broadband boards provide the dual-system hot backup.
• The narrowband or the broadband control board can be inserted into the twelve
service slots in a mixed way.

• The extended shelf cannot be standalone but to work under the control of the master shelf or
slave shelf.
• The master shelf manages the extended shelf and provide it the mutual power assistance
and the bus extension.
• The extended shelf has only service slots which support the mixed insertion of the broadband
or narrowband service boards.
