What is Research ?
Research is the process of solving problems and
finding facts in an organized way.
It is defined as a careful consideration of study
regarding a particular concern or a problem
using scientific methods.
It is carried out to create new human
knowledge, whether to uncover new facts or
fundamental principles.
It is a process of investigation. An examination
of a subject from different points of view.
Formulation of research problem
A research problem is a definite or clear
expression about an area of concern, a
condition to be improved upon, a difficulty
to be eliminated, or a troubling question that
exists in scholarly literature, in theory, or
within existing practice that points to a need
for meaningful understanding and deliberate
investigation.
A research problem does not state how to
do something, offer a vague or broad
proposition, or present a value question.

Citation
A "citation" is the way you tell your readers that certain
material in your work came from another source. It also
gives your readers the information necessary to find
that source again, including:
information about the author
the title of the work
the name and location of the company that published
your copy of the source
the date your copy was published
the page numbers of the material you are borrowing
Citation Index
The h-index is an author-level metric that
attempts to measure both the productivity and
citation impact of the publications of a scientist
or scholar. The index is based on the set of the
scientist's most cited papers and the number of
citations that they have received in other
publications.
