 Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) is a business approach that

contributes to sustainable development by delivering economic,


social, and environmental benefits for all stakeholders. It is how
companies manage their business processes to produce an overall
positive impact on society.
 Business ethics is the study of proper business policies and practices
regarding potentially controversial issues, such as corporate
governance, insider trading, bribery, discrimination, corporate social
responsibility and fiduciary responsibilities
 Ethics is believed to be a set of moral benefits conduct that
discourages act of self gain and encourages honest and modest ways
of generating business income.
 Ethics play an important role in developing a business strategic plans it
serves as the backbone of the firms principle. The firms goal is to provide
services and products and acquire profit through the business’ sales and
operation (Ethics resource centre ,2009; Kalshoven et al.,2011)

development, working with employees, their families and the local
community and society at large to improve their quality of life” (WBCSD
2002.)
 Research into the relationship between CSR and financial performance has
been on several theoretical arguments. Those who have suggested a
negative relation between social responsibility and financial performance
have argued that social responsibilty result in higher additional costs. That
puts a firm at an economic disadvantage compared to other less socially
responsible firms (Bragdon& Marlin, 1985; vance 1975)
 This is a descriptive study in which we see the role of business ethics and
corporate responsibility on Indian business growth. In this what is the
impact of CSR on polices on Indian business growth and ethics and
Corporate Social Responsibilty are recognised as important concern in
making decision in all aspect of our life and contributing to accelerate the
process of overall development of nation.
 The study is based on secondary data analysis. The data is collected from
different sources like websites, journals, previous published research
reports and also from CMIE database and CSR reports obtained from the
companies were used to supplement the data obtained from the survey.
