American track and field sprinter who competes in
the 100 and 200 meters dash. His 100 m personal
best of 9.69 seconds is the American record and
makes him tied for the second fastest athlete ever.
– In July 2013 it was announced that Gay had tested
positive for a banned substance following which he
withdrew from consideration for the World
Championships in Moscow.
– He was banned for a year and the I.O.C stripped him
of all his medals which he won in the 2012 Summer
Olympics.

CONCLUSION

According to the RLS, it is evident that emotions provide a strong framework to our values but
manipulation of those values to suit one’s purpose may prove detrimental. It is also evident that
values may stay strong even after an outburst of emotion but what those values mean to someone
is totally based on his/her interpretation.

FLAWS

1) Tyson Gay may have been mentally instable to run the race without the drugs

2) Nobody knew his personal circumstances at the time of the race such as the fact
that his daughter was on the verge of dying or that he needed to win the race to
support his daughter’s medical costs.
