INFORMATION NIGHT
Miss GS
Welcome
◦ Prayer For The Beginning Of School;
Lord, as we begin this new school year, we gather once again as your community of believers. We
thank you for the energy and the spirit that you renewed in us through the summer months. We
thank you for the time to enjoy our family and friends and to reflect on what is important in our lives.
Let this year be marked by enthusiasm and love so that, with the inspiration of your Spirit, we may
continue to grow in our faith. Help us to fulfil Your hope for us with honest intentions and works of
faith. Let us be gentle with ourselves and bring laughter, joy and love to others. We ask this in Your
name.
Amen

Religious Education
◦ Religious Mandate;

and women. Also, they support parishes with their responsibility of supporting parents as
the first educators of their children” Pg7.
◦ 3 Objectives:
◦ Children will learn how Jesus explored creation.
◦ Children will explore how followers of Jesus use the Bible to learn about creation.
◦ Children will identify how followers of Jesus are asked to care for living and non-living
things.
How can parents help their child:
◦ Sharing stories about times you have enjoyed creation
◦ Listing all the ‘living’ and ‘non-living things in your home
◦ Discussing the ways you care for creation at home, eg. feeding pets,
gardening,
◦ Sharing your favourite Bible story
◦ Wondering with them about God who created all things, living and non-living
