. INTRODUCTION
 Human resource management (HRM) is the term used to describe formal systems
devised for the management of people within an organization.

 The responsibilities of a human resource manager fall into three major areas:
staffing, employee compensation and benefits, and defining/designing work.

 Hr processes that are concerned with attracting, managing, motivating and


developing employees for the benefit of the organization.

 Human resources are the most valuable and unique assets of an organization. The
successful management of an organization's human resources is an exciting,
dynamic and challenging task, especially at a time when the world has become a
global village and economies are in a state of flux
SELECTION

 Selection is a negative process and involves the elimination of


candidates who do not have the required skills and qualification for the
job proposed.
 Also it is a process of differentiating between applicants in order to
identify and hire those with greater likelihood of success in job.
 The objective of selection decision is to choose the individual who can
most successfully perform the job from the pool of qualified candidates .
 It is the system of function and devise adopted in a given company to
ascertain whether the candidate "specifications are matched with the
job specifications and recruitment or not.
SOURCES OF RECRUITMENT

 Every organization has the option of choosing


the candidates for its recruitment processes
from two kinds of sources: internal and
external sources.
 The sources within the organization itself
(like transfer of employees from one
department to other, promotions) to fill a
position are known as the internal sources of
recruitment.
 Recruitment candidates from all the other
sources (like outsourcing agencies etc.) are
known as the external sources of the
recruitment
AIM

 The main aim of recruitment and selection is to aid the decision making of the upper
management to fill a gap; it helps them find the right candidate with the right qualifications
and skills to be able to do the job not taking in to consideration their race, age, gender, color
or nationality.
 This is important as it is a fair, effective and in good practice.
 The recruitment process is usually started when someone in the management leaves and this
opens up an opportunity to a person with the same or more amount of qualifications and
experience to fill this position.
 In order for this to be carried out managers need to consider the vacancy very carefully.
Recruitment process can be expensive; this is why managers need to think carefully before
starting the process. Only if it is considerably necessary for the organization to fill the
position, will they start it. It is also very time consuming as well and a lot of consideration
will need to be taken by the managers in order to choose the right candidate.
OBJECTIVES OF STUDY

 To study the recruitment and selection procedure followed in


HALDIRAM PVT LTD.
 To study the various sources of recruitment followed in
HALDIRAM PVT LTD
 To access the HR department's role in the selection process at
HALDIRAM PVT LTDTo identify various ways and means
being implemented to make recruitment and selection
process effective.
 To study
 the satisfaction level of employees pertaining to recruitment
and selection procedure undertaken at Haldiram.
SCOPE OF THE STUDY

 This study will help to analyze the ways and means used at Haldiram for
Hr Department's most important task i.e. Recruitment & Selection.
 The study will access the HR practices to resolve issue related to
recruitment and selection.
 This study will help to analyze and compare the different tools relating to
decision making presently used by this company.
 It will provide data to evaluate the shortcomings if any for company
presently used decision making methodologies.
 The proposed work will especially address the present scenario of
recruitment and selection procedures in the Haldiram.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

We may define, research methodology “as the systematic method of discovering new facts of verifying old
facts, their sequences, interrelationships, causal explanations and natural laws which govern them.”
