P. The Black Death spread rapidly in Asia, Africa and Europe between 1330’s
and 1350’s. The horrific disease wiped out populations worldwide in a very
short period of time. Ex. Studies have shown that the unsanitary living
conditions in Medieval Europe was a key factor in the spread of the plague
pandemic. The plague was spread in three different ways. The bubonic
plague was transmitted by fleas which carries the contagious disease. The
fleas lived on the rats, who were very common in dirty, crowed conditions.
Ev. The flea would bite the rats, as a result the rats would die causing the
flea to find another healthy body to live on, which happened to be humans.
L. The bubonic plague was the most common form of the plague that wiped
out populations across Europe. Both the pneumonic plague and the
Septicemic plague were also responsible for the death of many innocent
victims between the 1330’s and 1350’s.
