Turn sorrow into strength

马太福音 Matthew 5:4

「哀恸的人有福了，因为他们必得安慰。」
Blessed are they that mourn:
for they shall be comforted.
一个经历忧伤痛苦的人，若是他能夠专心
仰望上帝，上帝必能将他的悲哀化成力量，
他的人生也必因此而幸福。
If a person, who has experienced the pain
of sorrow, can focus on looking up to God,
God can turn his sorrow into strength,
and his life will then be happy.
一个经历忧伤痛苦的人， 牧师
若是他能夠专心仰望上帝，
上帝必能将他的悲哀化成
力量，他的人生也必因此
而快乐。
If a person, who has
experienced the pain of
sorrow, can focus on
looking up to God, God can
turn his sorrow into
strength, and his life will
then be joyful.
如何将悲哀化为力量？
How to turn sorrow
into strength?
A. 承认人生必有悲伤之事
Acknowledge that life will have its sorrows

火车出轨 A train goes off the rails.

“Loss”
人生在世就是不断的失去，只要拥有的，
就代表着可能会失去！
Life on earth is of never ending loss;
as long as something is in your possession,
there is the possibility that it can be lost!
 我們失去青春 我们失去身材
We lose our youth We lose our figure

一个一个亲友都离开我们
One by one, our relatives
and friends leave us

我们也失去了健康
We also lose our health
人生在世就是不断的失去，
只要拥有的，就代表着可能会失去！
Life on earth is of never ending loss; as long
as something is in your possession, there is
the possibility that it can be lost!
a. 失业 Lose one’s job

b. 失伴 Lose one’s companion

c. 失恋 Be disappointed
in a love affair
d. 失眠 Suffer from insomnia
(lose sleep)
e. 失明和失聪 Lose one’s sight
and hearing
f. 失望和失败 Lose hope and be defeated
失去是一种痛苦，偏偏人生有许多的失去。
To lose is a sort of pain, yet life is full of loss.

一个苦难过去后，随之又來了一个，
活着总有苦难相随。
After a time of suffering has passed,
another one comes again; life is inevitably
accompanied by suffering.
B. 不可活在怨恨中
One cannot live in resentment
「失真之路」
The road of Lost innocence.

 被逼為娼可怜的少女。
Young girls forced into prostitution.
孩子，你已经
吃过了这些苦
头，
以后就是轮到你
去救那一些苦难
中的人。
Child, you have
already endured
this suffering;
in the future,
it will be your turn
to save those in
suffering.
哥林多后书 2 Corinthians 1:4
我们在一切患难中，他就安慰我们，叫我们能
用上帝所賜的安慰，去安慰那遭各样患难的
人。
“Who comforteth us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort them which
are in any trouble, by the comfort
wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
接受不能改变的事实，
不要让自已活在悲哀和怨恨中。
Accept the facts that cannot be changed,
and do not let oneself live in sorrow
and resentment.
C. 领受上帝的安慰
Receive God’s comfort
安慰是带有加添力量的意思。
Comfort has the meaning of added strength.
诗篇 Psalms138:3
我呼求的日子，你就应允我，
鼓励我，使我心里有能力。
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me,
and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
我们就像刚学走路的小孩
We are like little children
who have just learned
to walk

God gives courage.

上帝的帮助并不是改变我们的环境，
而是给予能力去适应且超越环境。
God’s help does not come by changing our
surroundings; instead He helps by giving us
the ability to adapt to and even surmount our
surroundings.

God gives calm

Thanks be to God, who allowed me
to live until such an old age before
contracting this cancer.
平静的心是解决问题的先决条件。
A calm heart is the prerequisite
to solving a problem.
c. Companion 上帝应许同行
God allows companions
约翰福音 John 15:15
我不再称你们為仆人，我乃称你們为朋友。
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the
servant knoweth not what his lord doeth:
but I have called you friends; for all things
that I have heard of my Father I have made
known unto you.
夫妻本是同林鸟，大难临头各自飞。
Husband and wife are birds in the same forest;
but when disaster befalls them, each will fly
away in their own direction.
「在你遇到患难时，
就是你所看到的一双脚
印，
是我在背着你而行。」
When you met with
adversity, you saw only
one set of footprints,
because I was carrying
you.
