Native Americans came out in masses to voluntarily register
for military action. The amount of Native Americans in the
armed forces multiplied by four, 22,000 registered during the
WW2 era.

in the manufacturing industry, but did not gain access to the same
services as other Americans.
African-American 0oldiers fought in segregated units despite
volunteering to go to war. any felt conflicted by the idea that they
were in Europe fighting a Fascist government (Germany), but faced
racism and prejudice in their own country.
