Challenges in recruitment
• Lack of detailed job analysis which leads to
ineffective recruitment
• Don’t have pulling power to hire people with
unusual skills
• Don’t have separate recruitment staff and hiring
manager
• Can’t approach recruitment agencies
• Not able to offer higher than average starting
salaries and having ‘standard’ benefits/rewards

Talent attraction
• Employer branding – focus on key strengths
such as “innovative”, “fast-growing”
“regional exposure”
• Communicating the corporate goals, vision,
direction (for a more engaged workforce)
• More growth opportunities – which is
attractive to the younger workforce

Learning from BIG BOYS
• Buy v/s Grow
• Well documented recruitment process
• Recruitment in bulk
• Managing real cost
• Keeping cost down
- Advertising the job online through job boards in newspapers, the
company's website, or using word-of-mouth and references from
trusted customers and suppliers can help keep the cost of recruitment
down.

campaign
- Opportunity to climb up career ladder quite
quickly
- Exposure to broad functions and
