MAKING A TECHNICAL PAPER

NAKSHATRA
Technical Paper/Poster Presentation Event

What is a Technical Paper?

A technical paper is a compilation of a researchers work on a SPECIFIC TOPIC. The work is arranged in a specific & unique format. A researcher aims to publicize his work and attain critical acclaim through his Paper. A Technical Paper becomes truly acclaimed when it is published in a leading science JOURNAL. Examples of some science journals include Nature (undoubtedly the best!), Science, Science Direct (e-Journal) etc. However, before getting published, the Paper undergoes a detailed & strict review process by leading scientists & researchers in the respective field.

Types of Technical Papers

Technical RESEARCH PAPER
This paper should show experimental data (actual wetlab experiments have to be carried out & their results interpreted).

Technical REVIEW PAPER

This paper is a compilation of ideas & data from other review or research papers. As it is easier to make, this type of paper is more common. However, it can never reach up to a technical paper in terms of critical scientific acclaim.
