Born the 7th of February of 1812 He was born in England
In ceremonial county of Hampshire In the city of Portsmouth In the district of Landport

Portsmouth which has had a huge importance because of the sea situation and it has been a naval port for several years.

Firsts years
After two years of his birth they moved to London, three years later they were living in Chatham Because of the poor sum of money they own he didn't go to school since he has nine. In 1823 they were back again to London and his father was sent to prison for a sum of debts he had. Meanwhile his father was on prison, Charles worked in a industry.

Youth
Dickenss father is released from prision by paying the debts. The family went to live on the house of Mrs. Roylance. Influenced by the conditions under wich working-people lived, poor dicipline, and he reflected it in his books. Worked at a law office (from 1827 to 1828) and after have increased his culture, he become reporter

Being a novelist
1836, became editor of the magazine Bentleys Miscellany He published Oliver Twist as a serial novel in the magazine, between 1837, and 1839. He is succeful as a novelist. He married Catherine Thompson Hogarth, they went to live in Bloomsbury and they had ten children.

The couple made their first trip to the United States Dickens began to show interest with Christianism When they returned, he wrote A Christmas Carol After writing Dombey and Son and David Copperfield in Switzerland, Dickenss career and novels became more serious in theme and more carefully planned

In 1858 he separates from his wife because he felt in love with a teenager, Ellen Ternan He was centered by writing important works of his career, a tale of two cities and great expectations. On June 1865, was involved in the Staplehurst rail crash. He used his experience for one of his posterior works, A story of a ghost

He died in his home, at the date of 9 June of 1870 He wanted to be buried at Rochester Cathedral, but finally the funneral was in the Poets Corner
- "To the Memory of Charles Dickens (England's most popular author) who died at his residence, Higham, near Rochester, Kent, 9 June 1870, aged 58 years. He was a sympathiser with the poor, the suffering, and the oppressed; and by his death, one of England's greatest writers is lost to the world."

Conclusion
Charles Dickens has been a very important novelist in all the world His novels have taught the way of life of people in 19th century and Victorian Era He used most of his experience in a lot of his novels, so now we can see how they lived.
