SOP Tips

Be original Relate your accomplishments to planned research interest Use correct spelling and grammar Edit by half a dozen people at least Don't write a common SOP for all university Use simple English You can angle for more than one area Explain how you will fit in with work being done Say concrete statistics . Be specific.

SOP Donts

Avoid hot air. Adjectives like thrill, passion, excitement, joy, etc. Avoid quotations. Dont use very hard GRE words. Dont try to be oversmart.
